All our measurements or calculations are carried out by a Professional Engineer with extensive knowledge of Safety Code 6. We follow ISED's GL-01 "Guidelines for the Measurement of Radio Frequency Fields at Frequencies From 3 kHz to 300 GHz". Our reports are prepared in accordance with ISED's GL-08 "Guidelines for the Preparation of Radio Frequency (RF) Exposure Compliance Reports for Radiocommunication and Broadcasting Antenna Systems" and signed and sealed by a Professional Engineer.
We have carried out measurements from Vancouver to St. John's and everywhere in between! Contact us for a quote for our services.
The aim of Safety Code 6 is to set out safety limits for human exposure to radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic energy in the frequency range of 3 kHz to 300 GHz. The code sets out a series of exposure limits for both uncontrolled environments and controlled environments. The exposure limits specified in Safety Code 6 have been established based upon a thorough evaluation of the scientific literature related to the thermal and possible non-thermal effects of RF energy on biological systems.
The latest Safety Code 6 document has been published by Health Canada in 2015 and can be found in the link below:
The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) and the Government of Canada have excellent webpages with more details of RF energy and safety and Safety Code 6. Click the links below to check them out!
